About LugSpec
This started in a high school auto shop, not a tech startup. And it started because looking up basic vehicle specs was way harder than it should be.
Every time my students needed something simple like wheel torque specs, oil type, or tire pressures, it turned into a mess. They’d land on random forums with five different answers, shady sites buried in pop ups, or some paywall demanding an account just to see one number. A ten second lookup was turning into a full blown time sink.
That got old fast.
So instead of complaining about AI, I decided to weaponize it. LugSpec does the digging for you. Punch in a VIN or choose your vehicle and it pulls the specs you actually need into one clean spot. No sign ups. No ads. No scavenger hunt.
Is it perfect? No. AI sourced data should always be verified against your owner’s manual. I’m clear about that. But it beats bouncing between five tabs trying to confirm a lug nut torque spec while your car sits on jack stands.
As the tech gets smarter, LugSpec will too. I’ll keep building it out with practical features that help real people working on real vehicles. Students. Weekend wrenchers. Anyone who just wants the right number without the circus.
