The harness connector to the left or right side roof rail air bag may have incompatible electrical terminals, identical to the issue affecting the Chevrolet Traverse on the shared C1XX platform. This manufacturing defect can prevent the side curtain airbags from deploying in a side impact or rollover crash.

NHTSA recall for 2021-2022 Buick Enclave. Dealers replace the harness connector to the roof rail air bags with a compatible connector, free of charge.

The 9-speed automatic transmission exhibits shuddering at light throttle between 25-50 mph, jerking at low speeds, and occasional harsh shifts. The vehicle may feel like it is hesitating or surging during normal city driving. Some owners report the transmission slipping or failing to engage reverse promptly.

Transmission fluid flush with updated GM-approved fluid. TCM recalibration and software update. Torque converter replacement for persistent shudder. In cases of internal failure, complete transmission replacement under powertrain warranty.

A known defect can cause a large hole to form in the exhaust pipe between the exhaust manifold and the muffler. This hole allows exhaust gases, including carbon monoxide, to potentially leak into the passenger compartment through the HVAC fresh air intake. The condition also causes decreased engine performance and a noticeably louder exhaust tone.

Replace the affected exhaust pipe section. Inspect the exhaust system for additional corrosion or damage. In some cases, the exhaust manifold gasket may also need replacement. Ensure all heat shields are intact and properly positioned.

Owners report brake pads and rotors wearing prematurely, sometimes before 20,000 miles. The brakes produce grinding and squealing noises, and pedal pulsation occurs when the rotors warp from heat. The issue is most pronounced on the front axle and may be related to caliper slide pin binding.

Replace brake pads and rotors. Clean and lubricate caliper slide pins. Inspect caliper pistons for proper retraction. For repeat occurrences, consider upgrading to premium ceramic pads and heavier rotors designed for the Enclave's weight.

Some owners experience intermittent loss of power steering assist, heavy steering effort, or a clunking noise when turning the steering wheel. The electric power steering system can fail momentarily, especially during low-speed parking maneuvers. A warning message may or may not appear on the driver information center.

Inspect the electric power steering motor and wiring connections. Update the steering control module software. Replace the steering gear or column assembly if the electric motor has failed. Check the steering intermediate shaft for wear that causes the clunking noise.

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2020 Buick Enclave, Cadillac XT4, XT5, Escalade, Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, Traverse, GMC Yukon, Yukon XL, 2018-2021 Chevrolet Express, GMC Savana, 2019-2020 Chevrolet Blazer, Silverado 1500, GMC Acadia, Sierra 1500, and certain Continental tires sold to the aftermarket for various model year 2018-2021 vehicles. The affected tires were cured for too long during production.

Over cured tires may develop a break in the sidewall resulting in sudden air loss or a belt edge separation which could lead to a tread/belt loss. Either condition can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the tires, replacing them as necessary, free of charge. The recall began March 22, 2021. Overcured tires may experience a carcass break in the sidewall resulting in a sudden air loss or could develop a belt edge separation which could lead to partial or full tread/belt loss. Either condition increases the risk of a crash.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect vehicles and replace tires that have DOT number and production mold number combinations identified by Continental, free of charge. The start/stop accumulator endcap may have missing bolts.

Missing bolts on the start-stop accumulator endcap could result in a transmission oil leak and may progress to a loss of propulsion, increasing the risk of a crash. A transmission fluid leak in the presence of an ignition source may increase the risk of fire.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the start-stop transmission accumulator and replace it if any bolts are missing, free of charge. The recall began December 15, 2020. The fuel pump's jet nozzle may have a plastic burr remaining from the manufacturing process, possibly causing a blocked nozzle and an insufficient fuel supply to the engine.

Insufficient fuel supply can result in an engine stall without warning, increasing the risk of a crash.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump module. The recall began November 16, 2020. (GM) is recalling certain 2020 Buick Enclave, Cadillac XT5 and XT6, Chevrolet Blazer, Silverado 1500, 2500 and 3500 and Traverse and GMC Acadia and Sierra 1500, 2500 and 3500 vehicles. The diffuser component of the Roof-Rail Air Bag (RRAB) inflator may not have been properly crimped to the inflator and could separate from the inflator during air bag deployment.

If the diffuser separates from the inflator during deployment, RRAB performance may be degraded, increasing the risk of injury in a crash.

GM will notify owners, and dealers will replace the suspect RRAB modules, free of charge. The recall began September 3, 2020. A crack in the frame rail may reduce crash performance, increasing the risk of an injury.
