The 2.0L M282 turbocharged engine in the CLA 250 can consume oil at a rate exceeding Mercedes-Benz's stated acceptable limit of 1 quart per 1,500 miles. Symptoms include low oil level warnings, blue exhaust smoke on startup, and gradually declining oil pressure readings.

Dealer performs an official oil consumption test over 3,000 miles to quantify consumption.
