2017 Jaguar F-Pace

The Pivi Pro / Touch Pro Duo infotainment system freezes, goes to a black screen, or enters a reboot loop while driving. This disables navigation, climate controls, and the backup camera. NHTSA has logged hundreds of complaints, and the issue affects a large percentage of 2020-2021 F-PACE models.

Jaguar has released multiple over-the-air and dealer-applied software updates to improve system stability. If updates fail, the infotainment control module (ICM) must be replaced. Jaguar TSB T-069 addresses repeated infotainment reboots on InControl-equipped models.

Owners report persistent parasitic battery drain, causing the vehicle to fail to start after sitting overnight or for a few days. Various control modules fail to enter sleep mode properly, and warning lights illuminate randomly on the dashboard. The issue is traced to body control module (BCM) software bugs and faulty telematics modules.

Dealers perform a full module network diagnostic to identify the module that is failing to sleep. A BCM software reflash or telematics module replacement typically resolves the drain. Jaguar TSB JTB00498 covers parasitic drain diagnosis. The 12V battery should also be tested and replaced if degraded.

The 2.0L Ingenium four-cylinder turbo engine develops coolant leaks from the thermostat housing and the plastic coolant crossover pipe on the front of the engine. Owners notice a sweet smell, low coolant warnings, and visible coolant pooling under the vehicle. If left unaddressed, this can lead to overheating and potential engine damage.

Replace the thermostat housing assembly and the coolant crossover pipe with updated parts. Jaguar released revised components with improved gaskets. The cooling system should be pressure-tested to ensure no secondary leaks exist. TSB JTB00523 addresses Ingenium coolant path leaks.

The panoramic glass roof drain channels become clogged with debris, causing water to overflow into the headliner, A-pillar trim, and footwell areas. Owners report damp carpets, a musty smell, and water stains on the headliner. The issue is especially prevalent in regions with heavy tree canopy or leaf fall.

Clear the panoramic roof drain tubes using compressed air or a flexible drain snake. The roof seal should be inspected for damage and replaced if cracked. In severe cases, the headliner and carpet must be removed and dried to prevent mold growth, and the drainage channels cleaned thoroughly.

The rear differential output shaft seals develop leaks, and some owners report a whining or humming noise from the rear axle under acceleration, especially on AWD models. The leak is visible as dark oil on the underside of the differential housing. If the fluid level drops too low, internal damage can occur.

Replace the leaking differential output shaft seals and top off the differential fluid with the correct specification. If a whining noise is present, the differential may need internal inspection for bearing wear. Jaguar dealers can perform a differential fluid analysis to check for metal contamination.

A blank instrument cluster will not show important information like vehicle speed, increasing the risk of a crash.

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Jaguar XF and F-Pace, 2016-2017 Jaguar XJ and 2018 Jaguar XE vehicles. The instrument cluster (IC) may intermittently go blank.

A blank instrument cluster will not show important information like vehicle speed, increasing the risk of a crash.

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling one 2017 Jaguar F-PACE vehicle equipped with a 3.0L engine. A bolt used to attach the high pressure fuel pump may be too long. As a result, the fuel pump may not be properly secured and the fuel line may crack and leak.

A fuel line crack may leak fuel into the engine compartment, increasing the risk of a fire.

Jaguar will notify the owner, and a dealer will replace both fuel pumps and the associated fuel lines, free of charge. The recall began September 12, 2017. Owners may contact Jaguar customer service at 1-800-452-4827. Jaguar's number for this recall is H039.

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Jaguar) is recalling certain 2017 Jaguar F-PACE vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions. These vehicles may have been built with a rear driveshaft that is too short, potentially resulting the driveshaft separating from the vehicle.

If the driveshaft detaches, a loss of drive power would result, increasing the risk of a crash.
